At the heart of the United Methodist Church is the mission “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” That may sound like a big mission, but it often starts in very everyday ways—by getting to know neighbors, listening to people’s needs, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed and cared for. When Christ Indy UMC sponsors a community event, it is doing more than hosting an activity. It is living out its faith in a way people can see and experience.
