L.A.M.B. (Love & Mercy for God's Beloved)
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
In January 2025, Christ Indy UMC began this ministry with a simple hope: to help our church live the love of Jesus in the middle of everyday life. In a time when many people feel unseen, unheard, or disconnected, we want to be a community shaped by welcome, service, and care for our neighbors. Guided by the United Methodist Social Principles, we seek to reflect God’s love in ways that are practical, compassionate, and deeply needed today.
The Social Principles remind us that faith is not only something we believe, but something we live. Rooted in Scripture and the Wesleyan tradition, they help us bring compassion, justice, mercy, and hope into the real questions of our day: how we care for one another, how we protect God’s creation, how we honor the dignity of every person, and how we build a more loving community. As we grow together, we invite you to explore how these principles can help us share Christ’s love in honest, active, and life-giving ways.
