Community Resources: Transportation

IndyGo, the public transit authority serving Marion County, offers a range of transportation services to meet the diverse needs of the community. Operating 30 fixed bus routes, IndyGo provides affordable and accessible transit options throughout Indianapolis. Standard fares are $1.75 per trip, with discounted half-fare options available for seniors (65+), youth (18 and under), and individuals with disabilities, provided they have the appropriate ID or Medicare card.
For those requiring additional assistance, IndyGo Access offers a door-to-door para-transit service designed for individuals with disabilities who cannot use the regular bus routes. This service ensures that all residents have access to essential destinations within the county.
Additionally, IndyGo collaborates with the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA) to provide regional transportation options, including the My Freedom Program. This program extends transportation services across county lines, benefiting seniors aged 60 and over, as well as individuals of any age with disabilities, who have the necessary medical verification.
