Rev. Greg Pimlott
Senior Pastor
Rev. Greg Pimlott is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and has served as senior pastor of Christ Indianapolis United Methodist Church since July 2024. Greg has served United Methodist congregations in a variety of settings, including small-town churches, suburban communities, and an urban neighborhood in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Before earning his Master of Divinity and Certificate in Black Church Studies from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, he served as a missionary in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Appalachian Kentucky.
Greg is the author of Pastoral Pause: A Practical Guide to Renewal Leave, a resource shaped by his own experience of clergy renewal leave following a season of pastoral burnout. Outside of sermon preparation and visiting with people, he enjoys running, gardening with Indiana native plants, baking sourdough bread with his longtime starter, Max, and cheering on the Duke Blue Devils. Greg is a grateful husband, dad, and son who enjoys getting to know people and would love to meet you somewhere in town for conversation over a cup of coffee or a Coke.
