Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

     …but the livestream is so delightful!

 

Oh, hi. I’m Greg Pimlott, one of the pastors here at Christ Indy United Methodist Church.

 

You’ve probably noticed that it’s snowing out, And if you’ve watched the news you’re probably aware that they’re predicting a complete snowpocalypse for tomorrow.

 

I’ve been talking to some of the leadership and building-and-worship-related staff members today.

 

We all really wanted there to be a way to have in-person worship that was also appropriately mindful of the safety of people driving on the roads to get here, But we ended up deciding that there really wasn’t one.

 

So in-person worship is canceled for tomorrow, January 25.

 

I know you just started texting someone, “Church is canceled tomorrow”—but that’s not really the case.

 

I invite you to participate in a single, combined livestream prayer service tomorrow morning at 10:00 am. You’ll be able to get to it through the church’s website, or through the church’s YouTube channel. Just google Christ Indianapolis United Methodist Church—it’ll take you there.

 

If you normally view the livestream on your television, I’m going to ask you to also have your phone nearby. There will be a time where you can check in through the chat function so you can let us know you’re here and also greet your friends from church who will also be participating through the livestream.

 

I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Well, I won’t see you, but you’ll see me. And most importantly, we’ll be off the roads.
