Children
Christ Indy UMC believes that children are full, vital members of the body of Christ. Rather than viewing children as a distraction, the church embraces them as active participants in worship whose innate sense of wonder and faith enriches the entire congregation.
We make faith fun, age appropriate and accessible, connecting with children through a variety of engaging activities, partnering with families to nurture children’s faith. We have special events throughout the year, such as: Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat, and Breakfast with Jesus and Santa!
Sunday Nursery
Birth - Age 3
Infant and toddler care is available on Sundays during both services. Our staff and volunteers look forward to meeting and caring for your little one!
Children's Worship
Ages 3 - Grade 5
Children begin in worship and are dismissed together mid-service, led by Sunday School teachers to their classrooms. Parents should pick up their children in their classrooms on the lower level following worship. Children are always welcome to remain with their family in the sanctuary.

Scouts
Christ Indy UMC has a long standing relationship with scouts! Currently, two Scouts BSA Troops and one Cub Scout Pack meet at Messiah. Troop 3570 is for youth ages 11-17. It was chartered in 1969 and has seen 85 Eagle Scouts! Troop 5570 is a linked girls troop for youth 11-17, formed in 2019. And Cub Scout Pack 3388 has around 40 scouts in six dens.
